“Jack-up the Tide Championship Chicken Pizza”- Jack Daniel’s Grill Glazed Chix Pizza
I’ve got quite an exciting weekend ahead of me.  I’ve got the start of my birthday celebration tonight and tomorrow the Gators go up against Alabama in the SEC Championship game.  I’m thinking that the Gators will give me a big win tomorrow in honor of my birthday!
Be sure to check out Only Gators, for all of your Gator sports news!
Today’s dish features a recipe from one of my favorite websites, Top Secret Recipes.  Todd Wilbur has figured out how to recreate some of our favorite foods from top restaurants.  I used his T.G.I Fridays Jack Daniel’s Grill Glaze recipe to make today’s delish dish!
What You Need:
1 Pkg. Pillsbury Thin Crust Pizza Dough
1 Recipe for Jack Daniel’s Grill Glaze
1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1/2 Cup Diced Red Onion
1/2 Pkg. Morningstar Farms Chik Strips
Corn Meal (for dusting)
1 Tbsp. Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
Set Oven to 400 degrees.
1. Make glaze ahead of time (takes about an hour) and set aside.  Grease a pizza pan and dust with corn meal.  Roll out pizza dough onto pizza pan and poke several times with a fork (keeps it from bubbling up).
2. Pop the pizza dough in the oven for about 5 minutes, or until is just browns slightly.  Meanwhile,  toast the “chicken strips” in the toaster for about 5 minutes and set aside.
3. Then remove the pizza from oven and top with the grill glaze.  Next, sprinkle the pizza with the cheese, red onion, chik strips and crushed red pepper flakes.
4. Place the pizza back in the oven for about 8-10 minutes (keep your eye on it)
Enjoy!
