“Another Kind of Banana Boat”- Wonton Shells Filled with Grilled Bananas and Cinnamon Whipped Cream
So just one more holiday event left and we’ll be able to relax a little bit.  For those of you throwing a New Years Eve party, I’ve got just the dessert for your menu.  This quick, easy and bite sized treat will be perfect for passing around your party.
What You Need:
1 Banana (sliced into 1/2” rounds)
Small Wonton Wrappers (amount depends on how many banana slices you get)
Heavy Whipping Cream
Powdered Sugar
1 Tsp Vanilla
2 Tsp Cinnamon
Set oven to 400 degrees convection
1. Flip over a mini muffin tin and spray with Butter Flavored PAM.  Take 1 wonton wrapper and place it on one of the muffin moulds and pinch so that it will form a ‘bowl’ when it is baked.  Repeat until all the wrappers have been placed on the backside of the muffin tin.
2. Place the tin in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until the wonton wrapper is crisp.  Remove wontons from tin and set aside.  Then, heat a small skillet on medium heat.  Grease with PAM, then toss in the bananas.  Brown the bananas on both sides, then remove from pan and set aside.
3. Next, pour about 1 cup of heavy whipping cream into a bowl or large measuring cup.  Add the vanilla, cinnamon and about 1 tbsp of powdered sugar.  Use a hand mixer/blender to whip the heavy cream into a thick whipped cream.
4. Then, place one banana round into each wonton.  Top each banana with a dollop of whipped cream.  Then, place a scoop of powdered sugar into a small strainer.  Tap the sides of the strainer over the wontons so that the sugar lightly dusts the wontons.
