On My Delish List: Casa D’Angelo

Last night I had the pleasure of dining at Casa D’Angelo in Ft. Lauderdale to celebrate my birthday. My experience was nothing short of perfection. From the minute you walk in the door, you sense a feeling of sophistication. This feeling carried through the entire dining experince. Casa D’Angelo provides an intimate setting, enhanced by subtle lighting and soft music. The food and service can only be described as phenomenal.
When we were seated at our table, we were greeted warmly by our waiter. He provided our table with fresh bruschetta, focaccia, olives and parmesan. Last night there was an extensive list of specials. Included in this vast list was a fresh Gnocchi with Pesto Cream, fresh Tagliatelle pasta with a parmesan-reggiano cream sauce topped with white truffles, and a fresh Porcini mushroom risotto topped with shaved black truffles.
In the pictures above, you can see the selections that we made from the outstanding menu. I personally could not choose a favorite, because each dish was incredible.
In order to celebrate my birthday right, we ended the meal with two desserts. Four of us shared the apple tart with cinnamon ice cream, as well as a decadent, warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream.
