“Tempeh Gives me Wings”- Tempeh with Wing Sauce
This weekend my friend Lisa and I went to the local farmers market in Delray Beach. After doing our rounds, we found a stand that sold hot sauce, wing sauce and many other flavorful products. We tasted a few different flavors and while Lisa was tasting the SUPER hot sauces, I was busy buying the Captain Redbeard’s Wing Sauce.
Just because you’re cooking vegetarian, doesn’t mean you need to miss out on sauces such as wing sauce, buffalo sauce and other marinades that are usually used in meat dishes.
What you need:
Wing Sauce (any brand will do)
Tempeh (cut into 1/2” strips)
PAM
Set Oven on Convection to 350 degrees.
1. Cut tempeh into 1/2” strips and lay on greased cookie sheet.
2. Place in oven for about 10-15 minutes or until they begin to crisp.
3. Remove from oven and use a brush to lightly coat each piece of tempeh. No need to drench the tempeh in the sauce, because you can always serve with a side of sauce. Put back in the oven for another 5 minutes.

4. Remove from oven and lightly brush the tempeh again. Serve hot.
*Great as an appetizer, snack or even as an entree. Garnish with some fresh celery and ranch/blue cheese dressing.
