“That’s So Ramen” Oriental Cole Slaw
This recipe is courtesy of my Sous Chef Lisa and her Grandma Bevy. The weekend that we made this recipe, I couldn’t help but to keep opening the fridge and taking a few bites out of the cole slaw container. To add a little color and sweetness to the recipe, I suggest serving with mandarin oranges or clementine wedges. This recipe would be great for picnics, snacks or even as a side dish!
What you need:
1 lb shredded cole slaw
1 pkg Ramen noodles
3 chopped green onions
½ cup toasted slivered almonds
½ cup sunflower seeds
For the dressing:
½ cup oil
1/6 cup white vinegar
¼ cup sugar
Packet from noodles
1 tbsp soy sauce
1. Mix together everything but noodles and the dressing. Set aside.
2. Mix together dressing ingredients. Set aside.
3. Crush noodles into slaw mixture and mix.
4. When ready to serve, pour on dressing and mix well!
*Be sure to dress the salad right before eating to avoid soggy cole slaw
