“Berry Delish Crisp”- Blueberry and Strawberry Crisp with Crunchy Brown Sugar Nut Topping
So last night was my sister’s last night home before she went back to Cali and she wanted me to make her a Delish dish.  Since we had absolutely no food in our house, I decided to make a dessert with whatever I could get my hands on.
What you need:
1/4 Cup Flour
1/4 Cup Unsalted Butter
1/2-1 Cup Rolled Oats
1/4 Cup White Sugar
3/4 Tsp Cinnamon
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
2 Ttsp Corn Starch
Toasted Walnuts/Pecans
Blueberries
Strawberries (Sliced)
Set oven to 400 degrees
1. In a small bowl combine berries, white sugar and cornstarch.  Toss the berries in the sugar and cornstarch then set aside.
2. In a Cuisenart, combine remaining ingredients and pulse until a crumble mixture forms.  If you like, feel free to add a little more butter or rolled oats.
3. Grease a baking dish and pour berries into the pan.  Cover the berries with the crumble topping and place in oven for 25-30 minutes.  At the last minute, set the oven on broil and brown the top of the fruit crisp.
*Serve the berry crisp topped with homemade whipped cream or some really good ice cream!
