“Chix Dig This Pizza”- Vegetarian Buffalo Chicken Pizza and BBQ Chicken Pizza
Since I’ve been feeling left out of the loop on the whole love for BBQ chicken and Buffalo chicken pizza, I decided to create my own vegetarian version of these favorite pizza flavors.
What You Need:
Pizza Dough (Store bought or Homemade)
BBQ Sauce (I used Sweet and Tangy flavor and added 1 Tbsp Honey)
Chopped Red Onions
Morningstar Farms Chix Strips (Seitan can be used as well)
Buffalo Wing Sauce
Mozzarella Cheese
Set Oven to 450 degrees
1. Roll out pizza dough into desired shape and thickness. Place dough on greased pan or pizza stone. Place in oven until it is partially baked (should be a little crisp). Then remove from oven. Then, in a microwave safe bowl, defrost the Chix strips for about 2 minutes in the microwave. Set aside.
2. Using a brush, spread the BBQ sauce on half of the pizza (Use as much as you like). Then, using a different brush, coat the other half of the pizza with the buffalo wing sauce.
3. Next, add the Chix strips to the pizza. Coat the Chix strips with the sauces on each half of the pizza. Then top the whole pizza with shredded mozzarella cheese. Finally, add the chopped red onion to the top of the BBQ Chix side.

4. Place the pizza back in the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until it is crisped and the cheese has began to bubble and brown.
